They know what it takes to successfully recover. All of the clinicians are here to help others with their own stories and different techniques to acquire success for each client. The staff and facility and the programmes all were phenomenal. It is a comfortable place with an atmosphere that is intended to make clients feel at home. The facility is top of the line and the kitchen is GREAT! This is really a good place to start a new life away from addiction. It saved me and my friend.
Definitely a great staff all around and 24 hr supervision helps make this place really feel safe and comfortable for your treatment. Learned a lot in group education classes. Southwest Arkansas Counseling and MHC looks so clean and friendly. Well done Southwest Arkansas Counseling and MHC. You bring hope back to many people! Southwest Arkansas Counseling and MHC meets patients where they are at from all walks of life and helps them develop a routine for long-term recovery. I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about recovery.
It is hard not to fall in love with this facility if you happen to have a stay there. I think half the credit for my recovery goes to the beautiful environment that the facility has to offer which made things a lot easier for me. Their food was really great. You are served with a lot of different and exotic meals and then there always are free snacks at your disposal. I personally was a big fan of the free ice cream and cigarettes. I also had an excellent experience with their staff members. They were very caring and supportive and it always felt like they truly cared about your recovery. There were also a number of indoor and outdoor activities to get involved in. I really enjoyed the paints and art sessions. I have recommended this facility to a couple of friends of mine and will also recommend them to whoever is reading this. Great work!
AR Substance Abuse Truth
Arkansas is no stranger to chemical abuse. Recent statistics show that:
- In 2012, Arkansas had a greater rate of nonmedical use of prescription painkillers among individuals aged 18-25 compared to national rate (12.9% vs. 10%).
- That same year, Arkansas was at the top 10 countries for the amount of prescribed opioid pain medications, with 116 prescriptions per 100 people.
- 113,000 people 18 and older had an alcohol use disorder in 2014-2015 in AR.
- In 2013, over 11,000 Arkansans enrolled in a state-funded alcohol or drug treatment center.
Substance abuse has the potential to bring around or aggravate mental health difficulties, which appear to be an issue in the state. Back in 2014-2015, youth had higher degrees of past-year depressive episodes, while adults had greater rates of past-year suicidal thoughts and past-year serious mental illness than the national average.
