Overview

The Oakmont Center is dedicated (mission) to providing services for individuals, family members, and relevant others who are adversely affected both directly and/or indirectly by substance abuse and dependency. An additional component of the program includes anger management.

The Center's regular operating hours are Monday thru Thursday 7:30 AM - 9:00PM, Friday 7:30-5:00 PM.

The Oakmont Center is a private nonprofit (501-C-3) facility.

By providing a comprehensive alcohol and drug abuse prevention and education program (of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs---i.e., ATOD), one’s knowledge of substance abuse issues should increase significantly. Moreover, people must be informed about what drugs do, how to identify a problem when it exists---and also what can be done to resolve it. In the simplest terms, prevention means to keep something from happening. Thus the program’s mission is to provide prevention and education services so as to help high-risk/targeted groups (especially young children and youth) avoid, reduce, or eliminate altogether the adverse consequences of misusing and abusing psychoactive drugs.

Treatment Info

Heroin Treatment

  • Heroin Treatment and Rehab

Serious health risks arise when heroin use is discontinued abruptly. Inpatient doctors and clinicians help ensure a safe, successful recovery.
  • Heroin Symptoms and Signs

Side effects of heroin addiction are some of the most dangerous of any drug. Being aware of the symptoms of heroin abuse can help save someone’s life.
  • Heroin Addiction and Abuse

Heroin is one of the most dangerous, and most addictive, substances are known to man. It’s also a relatively inexpensive drug, but those who become addicted can spend hundreds of dollars a day on the habit.
  • Heroin Withdrawal and Detox

If you’ve been using heroin for a while or have become dependent, you’ll want to know what to expect if you decide to quit and begin to experience heroin withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms like muscle aches and anxiety make quitting heroin difficult. Doctors are available to help treat these side effects.
